Fault Finding
The total electrical rewiring of your property should be seriously considered if required because it could lead to the correction of dangerous weaknesses like faulty or dated wiring that could be up to, or over, 100 years old. When unnoticed, such faults could lead to structural damage or fire, particularly in older properties.
Admirable Electrics will update your property to match today’s standards, thereby increasing safety and potentially providing better-placed outlets. It will also include modern safety devices and fuse boards that protect from electric shocks and fire. Admirable Electrics offer a personalised service, providing detailed advice for customers contemplating a complete rewire.
If Faults are found to be in the system it will also show and list this on the report we provide, including an explanation of why that electrical system failed the EICR Report. It will also provide a fault log, giving the severity of the fault.
We provide this report to you and go over every aspect of it with you, explaining the detail and what it means, and moving forward what we need to do to resolve this for you.
Why do you need this?
Electrical testing is basically your MOT for your Electrical installations! – Giving you peace of mind your property and all electrical installations are up to date and reach the required standard keeping your property safe.
There are many reasons why you may need to change the fuse box in your home but mostly because they are now generally old and need to be updated.
They also now need to be RCD (Residual Current Device) Protected, which your old one most likely is not. An RCD protects you from serious electrical shocks.
Whatever your reason to upgrade our friendly and professional team of electricians would love to help. With prices for new consumer units from just £450 we have cost-effective options for complete peace of mind.
Typically, from start to finish, changing an old fuse box to a nice new consumer unit will take around approximately 5 hours. Every fuse box change is different and so the best way is to just allocate a block of your time when it’s convenient for you so we come and get the work done.
When we have finished upgrading your old tired fuse box for a nice shiny new consumer unit, our electrician will have tested all the circuits and inspected the installation, and on completion, you will get the following documents plus notification.
